How to Combine
Vectornator and Figma

Figma is the first cloud-based graphics editing and user interface design tool. It lets you share design files and collaborate with multiple people in real-time, making it perfect for remote teams who are working on big design projects. Figma is a game-changer for large corporations and agencies, but if you’re a freelance designer or a solo hobbyist, Vectornator has a lot to offer as an intuitive visual design tool. Plus, we support Figma files, so you can work between both!

From a Sketch into Vectors in just Two Clicks.

Our Auto Trace sketch mode allows you to easily turn your pen and pencil drawings into editable vector paths.

Simply import your sketch into Vectornator or capture it with our integrated Camera Scanner. Then, use the sliders to adjust the Complexity and Contrast of your image and tap the Auto Trace button. Your vectorized artwork will appear instantly!

A Superior Pen Tool

At Vectornator, we’re pretty proud of our powerful Pen Tool. It allows you to create Bézier curves (also known as vector paths) that you can draw, curve, edit, and close. You can edit the direction and angle of your paths by adjusting their node handles, and of course—anything you draw inside Vectornator is infinitely scalable.

Vector Files Workflow

We understand that many designers need to switch between multiple tools seamlessly. That’s why we made it super easy to open any .figma file inside Vectornator. Since both programs are vector-based, you can continue editing and refining your Figma files using Vectornator tools.

Desktop Level Precision? We Got This.

With Vectornator, we crafted a set of features that help you design in the most precise and innovative way — with your finger. Whenever you need the trackpad just grab one and experience the future of illustrating.

So, why choose Vectornator?

Multi-Device Application

Figma is a web-based tool, meaning it can be accessed on any device through your browser. However, once you import your Figma files in Vectornator, you have the ability to work offline. Vectornator is free to download and use on any iOS-supported device. While our mobile apps on iPhone and iPad are touch-friendly, the desktop app is perfect for those who prefer working with a drawing tablet, or a keyboard and mouse.

Unsplash Integration

No need to spend hours searching the web for photos and cluttering your Downloads folder with options. We integrated Unsplash into Vectornator, meaning our users have access to over 1 Million royalty-free, high-resolution images to use in their graphic designs. Simply open the Library Tab and go to Unsplash to access the free collection. You can also easily import your own photos from your device’s Photos App directly into Vectornator.

Iconator

We created Iconator, a library of over 80,000 royalty-free icons integrated into the Vectornator app. You can drop these vector elements straight into your document and modify and scale them to your exact specifications. This feature is incredibly useful for UI designers who might not have the time or skills to create illustrations from scratch. Find Iconator in the Library Tab.

Fontinator

Our integrated Fontinator feature allows you to import any font file format (.TTF, .OTF) and install it directly onto your iPhone or iPad. Your favorite fonts will be waiting for you in the Font Picker in Vectornator, where you can use them for any creative project. Fontinator is particularly useful for graphic designers who work for multiple brands since everything is stored neatly on iCloud.

Customizable Brushes

Vectornator's Brush Tool is extremely powerful when combined with the Apple Pencil. All brushes can be pressure-sensitive, so it feels like you’re drawing on paper. You can also retroactively edit the appearance of any brushstroke after you've drawn it by changing its style, color, and shape.

Multiple Grid Options

Grids allow designers to manage the alignment and spacing between UI elements, and Vectornator supports two types: a perpendicular grid and an Isometric grid. While the Perpendicular grid acts as a simple 2D guide, the Isometric grid empowers designers to think in 3D. Our additional Guides Toolbar provides even more options for achieving perfect placements.

Editable Brush Strokes

Designed for iPad

With a full split-screen you can work on two different Vectornator files at the same time. This is perfect for those working on projects with multiple UI screens.
